A Tonga Lumina inspired wedding

Kristin & Jeff dreamed of a wedding inspired by one of their best date ever: going to Tonga Lumina in Tremblant. their vision, was to bring the light show, the trees and whole ambiance, indoor at Hotel Bonaventure. And it was a truly magical experience for all.

We started planning Kristin and Jeff's wedding less than a year prior to their wedding date. It was a short time considering their stunning, unconventional vision: bringing a forest in a hotel hall.

Working with specialized companies for the lighting experience, projecting Jeff's favorite animated Van Goth painting over the ceiling, with countless renting companies to change the whole hotel hall vibe to give a forest and indoor outdoor feeling, it was months and months of budgeting, exploring and creating. We worked countless hours in meetings and research to find the best of the best to provide the un traditionnel wedding experience we were looking for.

They lived in Toronto, and are still there, but were coming to Montreal for their wedding at Hotel Bonaventure since Jeff's family was from here. Kristin and Jeff's love story and whole life is practically centred around plants and arts (Kristin's passion). They actually met at a Paint Night she was animating! It was only natural to bring those elements into their wedding, but never did I think of bringing actual trees and live plants into the mix.

The cherry on top was the environnemental aspect of it all in reducing our footprint with a minimal amount in cut flowers, maximum reuse of plants as centerpieces and sourcing local elements. It is not secret that a wedding is not super environmentally friendly. But I love this new trend of couple investing in local elements to reduce their environmental impact for their wedding.

One of their fondest memories together in Quebec is going to Tonga Lumina in Tremblant. With Kristin addiction to plans and this in mind, we worked together in their Foresta-Tonga lumina-plants and trees wedding theme.
